Lab 5 Upgrade and Downgrade

Tujuan

Purpose

1.Dapat mengetahui apa pengertian dari downgrade dan upgrade

1. Can knowing what the sense of the downgrade and upgrade

2. Dapat mengetahui cara downgrade paket versi di Routerboard Mikrotik

Konsep Dasar

Basic Concepts

1. Upgrade

Upgrade adalah suatu proses memperbaharui sesuatu, menambahkan fasilitas dan kemampuan yang baru . Hal-hal yang biasanya di upgrade bisa software maupun hardware.

Upgrade is a process of renewing things, adding new facilities and capabilities. Things that usually can upgrade software and hardware.

2. Downgrade

Downgrade adalah kebalikan dari upgrade, fasilitas-fasilitas yang ada dikurangi dengan alasan software yang hasil upgrade tidak bekerja sempurna alias cacat. Downgrade ini umumnya dilakukan pada Firmware suatu hardware, namun downgrade sangat tidak disarankan karena sering menimbulkan kegagalan fungsi.

Downgrade is the opposite of the upgrade, the existing facilities is reduced on the grounds that the results of the upgrade software does not work perfectly alias defects. Downgrade Firmware is generally done on a hardware, but the downgrade is not recommended because often cause a malfunction.

Langkah-langkah

Steps

1. Buka aplikasi winbox. Lalu, pilih menu files 

1. Open the application winbox. Then, select the files

2. Copy file "routeros-mipsbe-6.27.npk" yang sudah kita download di routeros.co.id

2. Copy the file "routeros-mipsbe-6.27.npk" which we downloaded in routeros.co.id

3. Kemudian, klik icon paste (di sebelah kiri Backup)

3. Then, click the paste icon (on the left Backup)

4. Proses penyalinan file routeros.mipsbe-6.27.npk mulai berjalan

4. The process of copying files routeros.mipsbe-6.27.npk start running

5. Setelah proses penyalinan selesai, ini tampilan file routeros.mipsbe-6.27.npk yang sudah disalin.

5. Once the copying process is complete, this display-6.27.npk routeros.mipsbe file copied.

6. Kemudian. kita reboot. Dengan cara pilih menu system, klik reboot

7. Setelah itu, kamu dapat melihat versi terbarunya, dengan cara pilih menu system lalu klik resource (lihat version)

8. Kemudian, kita coba untuk menurunkan versi file .npk. Sebelumnya, copy dahulu file routeros.mipsbe-6.15.npk

8. Then, we try to downgrade .npk file. Previously, first copy the file routeros.mipsbe-6.15.npk

 

9. Setelah itu, klik icon paste (di sebelah kiri backup)

10. Dan proses penyalinan file routeros.mipsbe-6.15.npk sudah mulai berjalan

11. Dan ini tampilan file routeros.mipsbe-6.15.npk yang sudah disalin tadi.

12. Setelah itu, kita downgrade. Dengan cara pilih menu system dan klik package

13. Setelah itu, klik Downgrade. Kita tidak harus reboot, karena secara otomatis paket sudah mereboot dengan sendirinya.

14. Setelah selesai reboot, kita dapat melihat versinya dengan cara pilih menu system dan klik resources

15. Dan ini tampilan versinya. Versinya berubah dari versi 6.27 menjadi versi 6.15, itu berarti versinya berhasil di downgrade (lihat version)
